Pioneer Road Services Pty Ltd has an integrated approach that reflects an understanding of pavement design principles and a recognition that pavement performance relies on high quality materials and high quality standards of manufacturing and construction.

The Company was incorporated in Australia in 1966 and has grown since then by geographical expansion, acquisition, and the extension of its range of services and products to meet customer needs.

The Hong Kong branch began in 1971 and was incorporated as Pioneer Asphalts (Hong Kong) Limited in 1992. A joint venture operation, Shanghai Pioneer Road Services, was established in China in 2000.

Pioneer Road Services has been successfully involved in a variety of projects in a number of countries and locations in the Asia Pacific region, and will continue to undertake projects in the region.

Annual Turnover now exceeds $300 million. Pioneer Road Services is one of Australia's largest asphalt producers, with annual sales exceeding one million tonnes. Over 50 million litres of bituminous binders are sprayed each year, and emulsion production exceeds 20 million litres p.a.

Each of our fixed and mobile production facilities and depots operates to an Environmental Improvement Plan aimed at insuring environmental compliance to legislative and community standards.

Much of our product innovation is directed towards environmentally sympathetic products such as emulsion primes and emulsion precoating materials which aim to reduce the level of volatile hydrocarbons emitted to atmosphere and minimise risk of wash-out by rainfall. In addition, we manufacture binders suitable for subsequent recycling without adverse health or environmental consequences.
