Privacy Policy & Collection Statement

Pioneer Road Services Pty Ltd (PRS) has created this Privacy Policy and Collection Statement (together referred to as 'this Privacy Policy") in order to demonstrate it's firm commitment to privacy.

PRS is bound by the Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles (NPP's).

PRS will update this Privacy Policy as required and an updated policy may be requested by you at any time so that you are always aware of the sort of information collected, how the information may be used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed by PRS.

Please note that if at any time PRS is required by law to release information about you or your organization PRS must cooperate fully.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to acts or practices of PRS that are directly related to employee records of current or former employees.

How does PRS collect information about you?
PRS may collect information about you (the Information) in a number of different ways such as:
- Directly from you or your organization if you apply for employment with PRS, seek to enter into or conduct a contractual, customer or supplier arrangement with PRS or visit one of our premises.
- From employment agencies, credit reporting agencies or other third parties referred by you in the process of seeking to become an employee, contractor, customer or supplier of PRS.
- From you or your organization if included in phone, fax, email or written correspondence communicated by you or your organization to PRS.

Why does PRS collect the information and how is your information used by PRS?
PRS collects the Information it considers necessary to conduct normal business relationships with employees, contractors, customers and suppliers to enable it to properly carry out it's day to day business activities based on the manufacture, sale and application of asphalt, emulsions and other bituminous products.

What happens if you do not provide the information?
PRS may not be able to conduct an employee, contractual, customer or supplier relationship with you if you do not provide the Information PRS considers necessary to enable it to do so.

What type of personal information does PRS hold?
PRS only holds the usual type of personal information required by it to carry out its commercial arrangements with employees, contractors, customers and suppliers. These may include personal contact details, pre-employment health information, tax file numbers, wage and salary and other financial information.

Who does PRS disclose personal information to?
PRS will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties the information obtained from you unless you consent.

How will PRS keep your personal information secure?
PRS has security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse and/or unauthorized alteration of the Information under its control. These security measures include:
- Physical controls allowing only authorized access to files that contain personal information.
- Computer system controls allowing only authorized access to personal information held on computer systems.
- Destruction of personal information when it is no longer required.

Correcting and updating your profile
You may gain access to the Information that PRS has collected about you by contacting the person or location you originally supplied it to. PRS will not charge you for responding to such a request unless it incurs costs in providing the information.
You can notify PRS of any corrections or changes required to the Information it holds about you by advising the PRS person or location you deal with, or the person named below, of the amendments required.
